OLS Challenge #5

I have another card today 🙂 This time for the OLS Challenge #5: Flowers. Here is my take,

45I finally broke down and bought some watercolor paper. It’s not real expensive stuff, just the Michael’s brand, but I thought I’d try it. One of the Papertrey Ink’s Make It Monday videos showed a technique using stamping and then brushing the water all over the stamping to soften it up. She used watercolor paper in the video and it blended better than just regular cardstock. So, I just had to go out and get some watercolor paper! LOL! I really LOVE how this turned out and have since made several other cards with this technique, including this one for my Mommy,

46Hope you like them!

You did a fabulous job with the technique, Lauren. Just a hint I saw in the watercolor class. If you use the textured side of the paper, you may have to go over your stamped sentiment with a marker to get a more solid image. It looks okay as is but thought you might want to know. 😉

  3. Lauren, these are so beautiful. You did an awesome job on both cards.
