Simon Says Stamps

Hello there. I’ve been inspired by Virginia’s View Challenge. This month the challenge is Dimension. I’ve been visiting blogs and looking at Pinterest a lot lately (well ALL THE TIME really LOL.) And I think this card is a mash up in my head of a bunch of different cards I’ve seen lately. 😉

So here it is,

I used foam tape and foam squares to get two different heights for the dahlias. And I just pushed up the sentiment banner while adhering it down so it would have that lovely bump in the middle like it was being blown by the wind. Instead of using patterned paper for the background, I used die cuts to give it that extra dimension. 😉

Hope you like it! I had a lot of fun making it!

Hello. I’m here today with a card for the October Virginia’s View Challenge: Clean & Simple. 🙂 I’ve had Christmas cards on the brain lately, since I’m done making all my Halloween invites.

Here is my card:

I went with white on white 🙂 When I adhered the snowflake I used my Xyron sticker maker, but the excess adhesive that I can usually just rub off, decided to stick and worse attract dust and just basically turn black in certain spots. I didn’t want to scrap the whole card so I took one of my Martha Stewart glue pens and added some glue to cover up the spots, plus add some little dots here and there and then covered that in glitter. I really like how it turned out. Happy accidents 🙂

Hope you like it!

Supply List (all products are PTI unless otherwise noted) :

Cardstock: Stamper’s Select White

Stamps: NONE!

Dies: Simon Says Stamps Eliza Snowflake Die, Simon Says Stamps Merry Christmas Die

Other: Martha Stewart Glue Pen, American Crafts Wow! White Glitter

I wanted to get at least one card posted for WCMD! 🙂

I had to work this morning, because I was subbing for a fellow teacher and then we had to go shopping because the hubby needed new work clothes. But I found a little time to make a card. 😉

The challenge over on the One-Layer Simplicity Challenge Blog is Turning To Fall.

Here is my card:

I used a stencil I made with the PTI Hexagons Cover Plate die, rubbed some Tim Holtz Distress Ink on in some fall colors, and then used a simple Simon Says Stamps Sentiment and some sequins. 🙂 I didn’t like the white frame all the way around so I trimmed the side edges off. The card is now 4in x 5 1/2in.

Hope you like it!

Hello all. 🙂

I have another card today, this time for the CASE Study Challenge #210. Unfortunately this will be the last CASE Study…indefinitely. 😦 I’m pretty sad about that, even though I more than understand the reasoning behind it. I only have the one sweet little guy and I didn’t get to craft all summer! I couldn’t let the last one go by without playing along so, without further ado, here is the muse’s card,

Absolutely gorgeous, no? It reminded me of a Christmas card, even though it’s not really, so here is my card,

It’s the first Christmas card of the season! 🙂 It’s hard to tell in the pic, but the stars on the circle are shiny gold. I mixed some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine Spray with some Golden Artist Color Regular Gel and used a stencil 😉

Hope you like it!

Have a great weekend! 🙂

It’s hip to be square! LOL.

It’s been a LONG time since I’ve had time to post on the ol’ blog-o. But hopefully that will change soon. I’m starting to get into a sort of pattern with my job and Zac being in school now, so maybe I will start to have more time to post 🙂

Today I have decided to join in the One-Layer Simplicity Challenge #9: It’s Hip To Be Square 🙂

Here is my card:
