Hello! I made it through recital! WOO HOO!!! Lol! Now I just need to get on this competition music. 🙂 But before that, I had some time today to make a card for the Papertrey Ink June Blog Hop! Yay!!!!

Here is the inspiration pic,

June 2015 Blog Hop

Aren’t those too stinkin’ cute?!

Here is my take:

I just love how the “messiness” of the watercolor turned out! I stamped the background onto Canson Watercolor paper and then used some water to push the ink around and make it messy. 🙂 I like it. 🙂 I did the same thing with the flower and leaves, although I did roll the leaves in a darker color around the edges first. 🙂

Hope you like it!

Wow. It’s been quite awhile since I joined in with a CAS-ual Friday challenge. But, I was inspired this week so here we go. 🙂

When I saw the prompt, I was reminded of a technique where you first stamp in white on kraft, and then you stamp color over it to give it a bit of shadow and add dimension to your card. I have never figured out the name of this technique, so if you know it, drop me a comment, LOL. Here is my card,

The Mini Blooms set from Papertrey Ink is perfect for this because it has a big corner stamp that you can stamp all at once with the white, and then individual stamps that match so you can stamp over the white in color. And a bunch of different colors at that! This card was really fun to make!

Hope you like it!

I wanted to get at least one card posted for WCMD! 🙂

I had to work this morning, because I was subbing for a fellow teacher and then we had to go shopping because the hubby needed new work clothes. But I found a little time to make a card. 😉

The challenge over on the One-Layer Simplicity Challenge Blog is Turning To Fall.

Here is my card:

I used a stencil I made with the PTI Hexagons Cover Plate die, rubbed some Tim Holtz Distress Ink on in some fall colors, and then used a simple Simon Says Stamps Sentiment and some sequins. 🙂 I didn’t like the white frame all the way around so I trimmed the side edges off. The card is now 4in x 5 1/2in.

Hope you like it!

Supply List (all products are PTI unless otherwise noted) :

Cardstock: Stamper’s Select White

Stamps: Simon Says Stamps Thinking Of You Stamp Set

Dies: Hexagon Cover Plate Die (for the stencil)

So, I think I’m going to give myself a goal of at least one card a day. Well, for the next couple of weeks anyway 🙂 I have a little bit of extra time during the day since my choreography is done and we are a month out from the recital. When the recital gets closer I have a feeling posts will be few and far between. But then after, I should be back to at least one card a day, LOL. 🙂

As the title suggests, I have a card to share for the Muse challenge this week 🙂 Here is the lovely inspiration card,

68Love that CAS. I started out with something simple in mind, but it sort of morphed into this:

50I think I got a bit carried away…but I like it none the less 🙂 Loving my Delightful Dahlias and Wonderful Words: Thank You at the moment 😛 Super fun card to make, loved the Muse’s layout, so I stuck with that and it took off from there! This card had a mind of its own, LOL.

Another CASE Study, WOO HOO! I’m (sort of) getting back into my groove 🙂 Here is the card to CASE this week:

191Wida is amazing, isn’t she?! Such an elegant card 🙂 Here is my take:

48Those reddish pink flowers on Wida’s card made me think of watercolor so I pulled out my Delightful Dahlia (love love love that stamp set and the additions!) stamp set and got to work watercoloring 🙂 I also liked the white on white sentiment die cuts so I put mine half on the flowers and half off, the best of both worlds 😉 They are hard to see in this picture but there are vellum butterflies with solid rhinestone stickers in the middle of them on the flowers. Here is a better shot:

49I adore CAS, and one layer stamping, but look at all that luscious layering! LOL! Ok, that’s a lot for me! I tend to over do it when I try lots of layers, but sometimes it works out. 😛

Hope you like it!

PS: I realize that I have a TON of cards that I’ve made over the months that were “just for fun.” Meaning, not for a challenge, LOL. So I will start sharing some of them at the end of my posts. Hope you enjoy. And let me know if you like this idea 🙂

Have a wonderful day!

This challenge is really cool! You hop to the different blogs of the DT and they each have a card that has 6 options on it and you roll a die to see what “building block” you are going to use and then you add them all up for a perfect card. Here are my “building blocks”

1. Harvest Gold

2. Sweet Blush

3. Aqua Mist

4. Stamper’s Select White

5. Sketch #2

6. Thank You card

7. Generation Stamping

8. Glitter

9. Embroidery Floss

At first I was thinking, oh great! The 3 hardest colors to get Generation Stamping to show up in! LOL. But here is what I came up with…

10I thought is came out rather nice, not perfect, but nice 🙂

Hope you like it!
