Virginia’s View Challenge

Hello there. I’ve been inspired by Virginia’s View Challenge. This month the challenge is Dimension. I’ve been visiting blogs and looking at Pinterest a lot lately (well ALL THE TIME really LOL.) And I think this card is a mash up in my head of a bunch of different cards I’ve seen lately. 😉

So here it is,

I used foam tape and foam squares to get two different heights for the dahlias. And I just pushed up the sentiment banner while adhering it down so it would have that lovely bump in the middle like it was being blown by the wind. Instead of using patterned paper for the background, I used die cuts to give it that extra dimension. 😉

Hope you like it! I had a lot of fun making it!

Hello. I’m here today with a card for the October Virginia’s View Challenge: Clean & Simple. 🙂 I’ve had Christmas cards on the brain lately, since I’m done making all my Halloween invites.

Here is my card:

I went with white on white 🙂 When I adhered the snowflake I used my Xyron sticker maker, but the excess adhesive that I can usually just rub off, decided to stick and worse attract dust and just basically turn black in certain spots. I didn’t want to scrap the whole card so I took one of my Martha Stewart glue pens and added some glue to cover up the spots, plus add some little dots here and there and then covered that in glitter. I really like how it turned out. Happy accidents 🙂

Hope you like it!

I have a card to share today for the very first Virginia’s View Challenge: Watercolor. I’ve been looking at the entries and there are SO MANY and tons of awesome inspiration! I actually created my card for this challenge last weekend, but am just now able to post it. I’ve got a sick little guy on my hands. 😦 But anyhoo, here is my card,

26I used a mask I made from the PTI Center Stage Cover Plate die and another mask I made using an MFT Rectangle Stax #2 die to make the water colored arrows. 🙂 I used some washi tape to keep the masks in place and it stuck to the card a little too well. When I tried to peel it off it took some of the paper from the card base with it! Ugh. So the gray washi tape is actually there to cover up those spots, but it ended up working because they are in a triangle formation with the sentiment stamp. 🙂 Another happy accident! LOL!

Hope you like it!
