Curtain Call: Feeling Nautical

I just love that the nautical theme is trending right now! I have always loved all things beachy and nautical when crafting, but couldn’t really make it work so to speak. But now that everyone is jumping on board (hee hee pun intended hee hee) I’m so glad because there are all kinds of super cute new products and takes on the trend. 🙂

I don’t have any of the new cool sequins that are super trendy right now (yikes! LOL!) so I had to go a little old school sequins on you. 😉

Hahaha, big flat shiny disks is more like it! But I still think it looks pretty cute, what do you think? I also got my idea for this card from Ardyth who is a guest designer over on the Muse Challenge blog this week. This is her card,

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Ardyth’s design aesthetic. All of her cards are CAS masterpieces. I’ve been a fan of hers for a long time now. 🙂 I was definitely inspired by the circles and the layout of the card. 🙂

CASology Week #36

It’s been awhile since I played along with CASology as well…my old friends are really inspiring me this week, LOL! Here is the cue card,

I was listening to my iPhone and I just had it on shuffle, but when the song It’s Time by the Imagine Dragons came on I immediately thought of the Bokeh style I have been seeing around the blog-o-verse and Pinterest lately, and so I came up with this,

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #106

Wow, that’s two weeks in a row I have been able to participate in Papertrey Ink’s Make It Monday! Woo Hoo! There is definitely something to be said for getting organized, even if it is just a little at a time. 😉 This week the technique is two toned stamping, so here is my experiment with it…

I realized after I started editing the photo that my ribbon is a little wonky. Oops. My son is making it a bit difficult to re-take the picture…in a good way of course, LOL. 🙂

Retro Sketches #47

Three posts in one day?! GAH! LOL, I’m having my wisdom teeth taken out tomorrow so I’m trying to post all the cards I can today. 🙂

I am anxiously awaiting for some of the PTI inks to become available again, but until then I have to find some alternatives LOL! I bought some Studio G inks yesterday and wanted to play with them. I love this weeks sketch on the Retro Sketches Challenge blog, and I haven’t played with my Beautiful Blooms II stamp set in awhile, so here is what I came up with…

I am waiting on Raspberry Fizz, Pure Poppy, and Sweet Blush (among others LOL!) but I think these inks will tide me over til then. Lol. They were only a $1 a piece so I can’t be too hard on them! 🙂
