Here is the inspiration pic,

June 2015 Blog Hop

Aren’t those too stinkin’ cute?!

Here is my take:

I just love how the “messiness” of the watercolor turned out! I stamped the background onto Canson Watercolor paper and then used some water to push the ink around and make it messy. 🙂 I like it. 🙂 I did the same thing with the flower and leaves, although I did roll the leaves in a darker color around the edges first. 🙂

Hope you like it!

Hello. I have a card for this week’s Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge: Using vellum to soften or show off your background stamping.

Here is my card:

47

I took a panel and stamped the background with the Splat stamp set. I wanted one of the sentiments to stick out, so I stamped it in a different color and used a Limitless Layers Circles die cut to cut out the vellum just over that part. 🙂 I did a card similar to this a while ago…and I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest. I have since lost that card on my MANY inspiration boards, LOL. But you can look me up on Pinterest, Lauren Anderson, and you should be able to see it on one of my many card boards. LOL!

As for adhering the vellum, I used the washi tape you see at the top and bottom to “secure” it. I say secure lightly because it’s pretty flappy, but that’s what I was going for, so if you like that look, there you go 🙂

Hope you like it!

Hi, there! I’m here today with a couple of cards for this weeks Papertrey Ink Make It Monday technique: White on white die cuts. 🙂

Here is my first card:

43

I was inspired by those hundreds of posters like this on Pinterest. LOL! It was fun to make, though that Q is going to give me nightmares because he just DID NOT want to be straight! LOL.

Here is another card, also using letters…

42

This one was really fun picking the colors and deciding on the placement of the white letters around the sentiment. I popped the word “Smile” up just a bit by putting one layer of white letters underneath the color ones. And then just to add a little bit more (bc obviously I don’t when to stop, LOL) I added some vellum butterflies with a pop of rhinestone in the middles. 🙂

Hope you like them!

Supply List (all products are PTI unless otherwise noted) :

Card one:

Card two:

Wow. It’s been quite awhile since I joined in with a CAS-ual Friday challenge. But, I was inspired this week so here we go. 🙂

When I saw the prompt, I was reminded of a technique where you first stamp in white on kraft, and then you stamp color over it to give it a bit of shadow and add dimension to your card. I have never figured out the name of this technique, so if you know it, drop me a comment, LOL. Here is my card,

41

The Mini Blooms set from Papertrey Ink is perfect for this because it has a big corner stamp that you can stamp all at once with the white, and then individual stamps that match so you can stamp over the white in color. And a bunch of different colors at that! This card was really fun to make!

Hope you like it!

Supply List (all products are PTI unless otherwise noted) :

Cardstock: Classic Kraft

Stamps: Mini Blooms Stamp Set, Swoosh Stamp Set

Hello there. I’ve been inspired by Virginia’s View Challenge. This month the challenge is Dimension. I’ve been visiting blogs and looking at Pinterest a lot lately (well ALL THE TIME really LOL.) And I think this card is a mash up in my head of a bunch of different cards I’ve seen lately. 😉

So here it is,

40

I used foam tape and foam squares to get two different heights for the dahlias. And I just pushed up the sentiment banner while adhering it down so it would have that lovely bump in the middle like it was being blown by the wind. Instead of using patterned paper for the background, I used die cuts to give it that extra dimension. 😉

Hope you like it! I had a lot of fun making it!

Well hello there. So I didn’t make it for any more of the Papertrey Ink Anniversary Challenges, LOL. And last week I had food poisoning so zero crafting got done then as well. But, I’m here this week for Make It Monday! Woo hoo! This week the challenge/technique was to anchor your die focal point with border dies.

Here is my card:

36

So I went a little bonkers on the layers, LOL! I’m not usually a layer person, but I got carried away 😉 Melissa’s card was just so inspiring! The light here is terrible because its overcast today, so you can’t see that on the border dies I used a pearly white swirly textured paper that I found in my stash, but its there 🙂

Hope you like it!
