Papertrey Ink: Make It Monday #128

Now it’s time for Papertrey Ink’s Make It Monday! (And also the CAS-ual Fridays Button Challenge. Woop Woop!)

I get so excited when Papertrey Ink has a new release! I saw the first sneak peeks when I was looking for the Make It Monday Video. August is always my favorite because of Halloween! I can’t wait! I haven’t been able to order for awhile so my wish list is about 10 miles long now, LOL!

Anyway, back to my card, haha 🙂 This week the technique is to stamp a random background.

I don’t know why, but I immediately thought of The Sweet Life stamp set and wanted a bird to go with it. I pulled out the little bird from Trendy Tree Tops, but it just wasn’t right. Then I remembered there was a bird in the Grunge Me set so I whipped it out and low and behold, the poor forgotten Hummingbird! (I use the other images like the paint splatters and the dots and stripes A LOT more often and sort of forget about that cute little birdy.) And to go with my bright feeling background I used my favorite sentiment in the We Go Together stamp set. 🙂

Make It Monday #125

Greetings! I have time to post! Who knew! LOL!

For Papertrey Ink’s Make It Monday #125 the technique is to stamp in water color and then ink to define just the edges…for the example Erin Lincoln used a flower set. I only have one flower set and I didn’t feel much like using it so I decided to try something a bit different…

I really like the effect with this stamp. Also, I didn’t have any water colors so I used my ink pads and some water (with a technique that Dawn McVey taught us in a MIM awhile back.) So the light and dark are actually the exact same color. 🙂

Make It Monday #121

Hey there. Still haven’t been able to get back to my regularly scheduled program. I will…eventually. Haha! Until then I will post when I can.

So this weeks technique for Papertrey Ink’s Make It Monday is Vellum Flowers…now I have a confession to make. The only flower set I own is PTI’s Beautiful Blooms II. Yikes, right?! I need to rectify that situation right STAT now, huh? 🙂 LOL. And that set doesn’t lend well to the coloring technique so I had to improvise…

I used my Love Potion stamp set instead. I thought the technique would work really well to make the potions. And I just love the soft result! 🙂

Also, as you can probably tell, I am trying to get rid of some of my older (Recollections) Kraft paper and when I did the embossing of the sentiment it warped and I just could not get it to lay right, so the pic looks a bit wonky, but I swear it’s not too bad IRL. 🙂

Hello MUSE, I’m back! 🙂

This week we have a gorgeous card to CASE by Michelle Williams. 🙂

Like I said, Gorgeous! I’ve bee a fan of her’s for a while. 🙂

Here is my take,

I was inspired by the framing of the sentiment and by the flowers. 🙂 At first I just had the frame with the flowers, but I felt it needed something else so I added the lace with a bit of DP 🙂
