Twofer :)

So today I have a card for two challenges. I don’t often combine challenges, just every now and then two just seem to go hand in hand, like this weeks CASE Study Challenge #183 and CAS(E) This Sketch #69.

I used masking and sponging to get the background circle. That was the part that was inspired by the sketch. Then, I added the little flowers from Mini Blooms as inspired from the CASE Study card. 🙂

Seize the Sketch #1

So I’ve been rolling this sketch (the first from the new Seize The Sketch challenge) in my head for awhile. I made one card and ended up just not liking it at all, LOL. Then today I decided to try it on a mini scale and like it much better! First of all, here is the sketch:

Hello MUSE, I’m back! 🙂

This week we have a gorgeous card to CASE by Michelle Williams. 🙂

Like I said, Gorgeous! I’ve bee a fan of her’s for a while. 🙂

Here is my take,

I was inspired by the framing of the sentiment and by the flowers. 🙂 At first I just had the frame with the flowers, but I felt it needed something else so I added the lace with a bit of DP 🙂

I LOVE negative die cuts! That’s where I drew my inspiration. I also wanted to make a Christmas card for whatever reason, lol. So here is my card…

It’s hard to see in the picture but I did some water color swirls on the background paper before I stamped the snowflake. I am also entering this card in the Moxie Fab World Emphasize the Negative Challenge. 🙂

CASE Study #131

Two CASE’s in one morning?! LOL! I made these cards yesterday and the day before but am just now getting around to posting them…life with a preschooler. (Oh man did I just say preschooler and not toddler? YIKES?! How did my baby get so big?!?!?!?!)

I love the card for CASE Study this week. It also has the Kraft and white combo that I am loving lately 🙂 You will have to click on the link because I cannot get the card to show up here 😦 I know it’s user error, but I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong…oh technology, LOL. Here is my take…

Now, let me explain a bit. 🙂 I wanted to do the black embossing with some water color underneath it instead of stamping, but someone (not naming names…Zac) took my one and only paint brush and hid it somewhere…I know ONE paint brush? I was going to get more and things and stuff happened (did you catch that Walking Dead reference? Lol!) So I had to go with the stamping of the dark red and the black embossing. Then as I was putting the panel on the base my hand swiped part of the droplets from the color shine and smeared them. I tried to turn it into a “happy” accident, but didn’t quite succeed. I was going to re-do the panel and guess who decided to wake up from their nap early? LOL! I’m not dissatisfied with it, but I’m not really “ok” with the smudges…I don’t know, what do you think?
