I’ve done it! I’ve finally had time to craft a little!!! Woo Hoo!!! LOL.

I’m here today with a card for the PTI July Blog Hop. 🙂 Here is the beautiful picture inspiration,

July Blog HopAnd here is my card,

14I just love that little fox 🙂 I was inspired by the flags and the doily in the picture. I was going to use flowers in place of the fox, but when I came across this stamp set I thought the fox was just too adorable so I die cut and water colored the little cutie. 😉

Hope you like it! And hopefully more crafting will be coming soon! 🙂

I do have a card to share today for the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge. Here is the sketch,

CTS_Sketch_79And here is my card,

Hello there, Muse! They sure do have a fun card up this week! Here it is,

69Isn’t it so bright and happy? I really like it 🙂 Here is how I was inspired,

10

I decided to use die cuts instead of paint or ink 🙂

I have been trying to figure out how people are doing the stamping on the die cuts and the stamping on the card and getting them to match up. I was seriously racking my brain and trying to figure it out. I came up with die cutting my 3 birthday dies first, stamping the sentiment on the card itself, then placing some clear acetate (left over from some new stamps) over the card, placing the die cuts in the arrangement I wanted, then stamping the sentiment again, making sure it lined up with the card. It actually wasn’t too difficult and didn’t take up too much time. 🙂

Hope you like it!

11Have a good day!

So, I’m a bit obsessed with my new Building Blocks stamp set from PTI. It’s really so versatile! At first I was like, “hmmm maybe I should throw this in my cart, I don’t know…” and then when it got to my house, I just couldn’t put it down! There are, literally, TONS of things you can do with this set. Plus the sentiments are soooooooooooooo cute. 🙂

Anyhoo, I have a card today for the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge. Here is the awesome sketch,

CTS_Sketch77And here is my take, although I have to warn you, the picture isn’t very good as we have a pretty gnarly storm going on right now (Tornado Watch, anyone? 😦 Boo.)

8I used my Beautiful Blooms II set for the circles, and… you guessed it! Building Blocks for the sentiment. 🙂

Hope you like it!

PS: Here is a card I made a while back, can’t remember where I got the inspiration from…but I hesitated to share it because there is something off about it…I think maybe its the placement of the circle and heart. They make the eye draw a funky shape…I don’t know….what do you think?

9Have a good day!

So, today I have a card I made for two challenges. I didn’t get one made Friday or Saturday because we were getting ready for my Hubby’s birthday party yesterday. I swear, one of these weeks, I am going to get a card done a day, LOL! It’s still my goal! 🙂

So back to today’s card 😉 It’s been awhile since I’ve joined in the PTI Monthly Blog Hop. Aqua and Melon are such gorgeous colors together. And I have been thinking about the CASE Study muse card a lot and so the two just sort of melded together in my head. Here is the Blog Hop graphic,

May Blog HopAnd the CASE Study muse card,

192Just love that layout, don’t you? Here is how I meshed them,

4I am love love loving my new Building Block stamp set!!! So stinkin’ cute! It was perfect to make that layout work with just stamps and very little embellishments. I only used some iridescent sequins. 🙂

Have a great day!

So, I think I’m going to give myself a goal of at least one card a day. Well, for the next couple of weeks anyway 🙂 I have a little bit of extra time during the day since my choreography is done and we are a month out from the recital. When the recital gets closer I have a feeling posts will be few and far between. But then after, I should be back to at least one card a day, LOL. 🙂

As the title suggests, I have a card to share for the Muse challenge this week 🙂 Here is the lovely inspiration card,

68Love that CAS. I started out with something simple in mind, but it sort of morphed into this:

50I think I got a bit carried away…but I like it none the less 🙂 Loving my Delightful Dahlias and Wonderful Words: Thank You at the moment 😛 Super fun card to make, loved the Muse’s layout, so I stuck with that and it took off from there! This card had a mind of its own, LOL.

Have a good day!

Another CASE Study, WOO HOO! I’m (sort of) getting back into my groove 🙂 Here is the card to CASE this week:

191Wida is amazing, isn’t she?! Such an elegant card 🙂 Here is my take:

48Those reddish pink flowers on Wida’s card made me think of watercolor so I pulled out my Delightful Dahlia (love love love that stamp set and the additions!) stamp set and got to work watercoloring 🙂 I also liked the white on white sentiment die cuts so I put mine half on the flowers and half off, the best of both worlds 😉 They are hard to see in this picture but there are vellum butterflies with solid rhinestone stickers in the middle of them on the flowers. Here is a better shot:

49I adore CAS, and one layer stamping, but look at all that luscious layering! LOL! Ok, that’s a lot for me! I tend to over do it when I try lots of layers, but sometimes it works out. 😛

Hope you like it!

47This one was inspired by this Pinterest Pic:

Have a wonderful day!

I’m back!!! Lol! We went on a Cruise and then I went to Vegas with my brothers and things are just now starting to calm down, so i got some crafty time in 🙂

I joined in with Papertrey Ink’s Make It Monday this week. The technique was to use emboss resist and stamping in a sort of explosion layout. Here is my take,

44This card was so much fun to make! I really like this technique. I may try it again with different colors instead of the same color family 🙂

Hope you like it!

Ok, I’m just gonna go for it. I’ve “tried out’ for DTs before, but I was rejected every time. I don’t have thick enough skin, maybe, so I decided not to try anymore and just have fun and not be on a schedule. But, I LOVE CASE Study and they made it so simple to “try out” I just thought, “eh, why not? It will be fun if nothing else.” And it has been! I have been looking through archives of two of my favorite card designers Maile Belles and Ardyth Percy-Robb It was so fun to see some of their older stuff!!! 🙂 In the end I picked this to CASE from Maile Belles,

DT Challenge1You can find her original post HERE. This is my interpretation,

41Like I said in an earlier post, I was in a stamping mood yesterday 🙂 I used several different stamp sets to get the background, and used the layout and colors of Maile Belles card. 🙂

From Ardyth’s blog I picked a new card because it caught my eye first before I went looking at the older cards. 🙂

DT Challenge2Isn’t that so much fun?! You can see her original post HERE. And here is what I came up with,

43I love the Wet Paint Stamp Set! 🙂 I love how she used it to make a background and then added just a little bit of fun color 🙂

So, there you have it, my “audition” for the CASE Study Design Team. I had so much fun with it. 🙂
